In this post i am going to tell you types of whey protein available in market.
Types of whey protein are as follows
- Whey concentrate
- Whey isolate
- Hydrolyzed whey
whey concentrate
- This is the first level of refined whey protein
- Whey concentrate is the whey protein available in the market which contain 65% to 70% of protein and rest is fats,carbohydrates,sugar(lactose).
- This is cheapest whey protein available in the market.
- This whey protein contain high amount of fats,carbohydrates,sugar(lactose) as compared to whey isolate and Hydrolyzed whey.
whey isolate
- This is the second level of refined whey protein.
- Taste is good as compared to hydrolyzed whey.
- This whey protein contain 85% to 90% of protein and rest is fats,carbohydrates,sugar.
- Cost is almost 1.5 times than whey concentrate and mostly recommended.
hydrolyzed whey
- This is the third and final level of refined whey protein.
- It contain 99% to 100% protein and lactose(milk sugar) is not present.
- Very less available in market.
- People who compete in competition,body builders,peoples with lactose problem and fitness models consumes this type of whey protein.
- Taste is not good.
